Humanities Instructional Supervisor, Milford Public Schools

“While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought many challenges to education, I choose to focus on the silver linings. With the use of Chromebooks and Google Meet, administrators, teachers, students, and families in Milford Public Schools have been able to remain in constant contact and nurture the social-emotional well-being of children and adults alike. Teaching and learning have been transformed, but they have also remained constant in the desire to build relationships through rigorous academic work that allows students to collaborate, laugh, learn, and grow. I’ve also made a commitment to taking morning walks to witness the sunrise. While it is a metaphorical recharging of my batteries, it’s also a reminder that no matter how dark things get, there’s always a bright light on the horizon.”
