“I can describe student teaching during a pandemic as a rollercoaster. This sounds cliché, but it is the only accurate way to describe it. There have been many ups—getting to know my students and helping them succeed during this time of uncertainty. But there have been many downs, from the anxiety and stress to the busy schedule. I work 10 hours or more each day to make sure I am prepared to teach and help my students. For now, the health, both emotional and physical, of my students is my focus. Overall, this experience has reinforced my love for teaching and has made me realize I am entering one of the most important professions there is.”
